I'm Kathy B., the breeder behind Blues Performance Poodles located in Fort Salonga, NY. We’re devoted to ensuring there are healthy puppies for others to enjoy and we do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed. Our puppies become integral members of our family. They’re a daily part of everything we do until they’re ready to join their forever families.
Q. & A. with Kathy
Why did you start breeding?
My mom was an in home breeder and she settled on mini poodles and I had my own that I learned to groom and train. I've never looked at another breed since. It's always been poodles and what new adventures can we have together? My daughter showed off our poodles in a skit for her community theater in front of a large audience. It's my highlight and my heart is full!
What makes your program special?
We are a special breeding program because we train our puppies together and individually before leaving our home. They are taught to sit for treats, ring a bell to go outside and to come when called. It makes the puppy move to a new home less traumatic when they have a few familiar things to take with them.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
