I'm LOGAN B., the breeder behind Bodacious Blues Kennels (American and Pembroke Welsh Corgis) located in Herrick, SD. I raise Corgis for the love of the dogs and for a desire to help line great families up with wonderful forever furbabies. We are dog lovers through and through! Our pups are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. It’s an amazing experience as breeders to provide others with puppies that we know will bring them the same joy!
Q. & A. with LOGAN
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up on a farm and always loved springtime when all the new babies were born. I got into breeding for the simple love of it and wanting to help families find their lifelong fur babies. I love adding new people to my extended corgi family and getting updates as my puppies age and telling me just how much they love the puppy they got from me.
What makes your program special?
I think the amount of love, and care I give my puppies is part of the special experience, and also the fact that I let my new owners know I will always be there to help if they should ever have any questions. I personally hand deliver every puppy even if I have to fly them to other states. I also specialize in unique Corgis. Merles, bluies, fluffies, etc. I love their uniqueness.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include red, sable, blue, and black and tan. American Corgi puppies include fawn merle, fawn and white, fawn, sable merle and white, sable and white, sable, red merle and white, red and white, red, gray and white, blue merle and white, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

About Rebel
Rebel is our sweet fun loving girl. She loves to snuggle and be with you. She is always the first to try new things and loves to meet new people. She is a DM carrier, VWD1 clear, and EIC clear by parentage. I owned her parents and tested them. Since I knew their test results I did not test her individually.

Bodacious Blues Kennels (American and Pembroke Welsh Corgis) reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for American Corgis.
von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
