Meet the breeder

I'm Amelia H., the breeder behind Bonbelle located in Raleigh, NC. I strive to breed healthy dogs that align to the standard and make amazing show dogs as well as loving family pets. I use outside outlets to prove merit. Most importantly, our dogs are house pets. We don't have a kennel or dog room. Puppies are raised in a family setting and well-socialized.

Q. & A. with Amelia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding by way of showing. I started in juniors with a miniature schnauzer. I mentored under other handlers and breeders. I love the breed and the community. After schnauzers, I got into MAS through a friend who showed me how great the breed can be!
  • What makes your program special?

I breed show dogs for health, temperament, and conformation. I prove this through breeding dogs with sound temperaments, CHIC health testing, & show/performance titles. My dogs are kept at home as part of the family, making easy-going temperaments a must for me. I do not ever breed dogs with aggression, nervousness, neuroticism, etc. They are loved as pets first, beautiful show dogs second.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Amelia

Amelia has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Amelia partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

"Puppies are matched based on structure, temperament, and owners’ preferences, starting at 6 weeks. A formal evaluation is done at 8 weeks for any show prospects, and puppies may be matched at 8 weeks. "

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

"This price includes the veterinary expenses, docking/dew claws, a microchip, AKC registration (limited for all pet dogs), and breeder support. Prices vary by litter, but are the same within a litter. The deposit is put on the litter, after being born, and the puppies are matched to their owners once temperament can be evaluated. Deposits are refundable if no puppy evaluates as a match."

Contract & health guarantee

Amelia may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Amelia offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Amelia directly.
