I'm Brandi S., the breeder behind Brandi’s Southern Doodles & Poodles, LLC located in Lake Charles, LA. My name is Brandi, a southern girl from Louisiana who grew up in the country with a passion for all things animals, especially dogs. As an only child, my pets were my everything, knowing this would be a lifelong passion I perused a college degree in Veterinary Technology. After graduation, I've worked as a veterinary technician for 10 years and have 15+ years of dog breeding experience. I started up my doodle program in 2012. Having my degree, I execute exceptional care and knowledge into my program along with my experience, and most importantly my love for each dog.
Q. & A. with Brandi
Why did you start breeding?
Started breeding English Bulldogs in 2006 and Poodles and Doodles in 2013. I grew up on a farm- around many animals. I’ve always loved repro. Dogs in particular have always been my biggest passion.
What makes your program special?
I have a veterinary field background and when selecting dogs for my program, health is my priority. My dogs are all health and genetic tested. I also screen for things such as allergies and behavioral issues. Many of my dogs come from champion lines including show and agility. Having such bloodlines ensures great quality dogs. I send all my puppies home with a one-year health guarantee against any genetic issues and a free trial of pet insurance.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Poodle puppies include toy, miniature, moyen, and standard sizes. Assorted Doodle Crosses puppies include toy, petite, miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
