Meet the breeder

I'm Brandon, the breeder behind Brandon's Dutch Shepherds located in San Jose, CA. I am a dedicated breeder of Dutch Shepherds, focused on producing dogs with exceptional temperament, sound structure, and overall quality. My breeding program is built on carefully selected, fully imported bloodlines, allowing me to maintain a high standard of genetics, working ability, and breed integrity. All of my breeding stock undergoes extensive health testing to ensure the best possible outcomes for each litter. I am committed to producing healthy, well-balanced puppies with strong foundations for long, active lives. My dogs are raised with an emphasis on stability and adaptability, making them excellent family companions while still retaining the intelligence, drive, and working capability the Dutch Shepherd is known for. My goal is to provide dogs that not only excel in performance environments but also integrate seamlessly into the home as loyal, dependable companions.

Q. & A. with Brandon

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding through a lifelong connection with dogs, having grown up with them as an important part of my family. During my time in the military, I had the opportunity to see Dutch Shepherds working firsthand, which left a lasting impression on me. I was drawn to their intelligence, versatility, and unwavering loyalty. That experience inspired me to pursue breeding with a purpose—producing dogs that not only showcase strong working capability, but also serve as reliable family protectors and well-balanced companions in the home.
  • What makes your program special?

I got into breeding because I wanted to take my passion for dogs and build something of my own—focused on the quality and standards I believe these dogs deserve, while providing that same level of excellence to others who share that vision.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black brindle, yellow, gold brindle, and silver brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

My husband and I did some research on a protection dog for our kids. After finding Brandon's litter, I reached out to him and he immediately responded and was so forth coming with all the questions I wanted answers to. When my kids met them, they fell in love with him immediately, just like we did. We couldn't be happier with Brandon and the puppy he provided for us! 🩷
