Meet the breeder

I'm Gretchen M., the breeder behind Bridgehill Beagles located in Ontario, NY. I am a preservation Breeder that breeds to the National Beagle Club standards for health, temperament and conformation. I have been actively involved in Beagles both the show ring and Scent Work for 14 years and breed only as needed. My beagles live in my home as a family member.

Q. & A. with Gretchen

  • Why did you start breeding?

When I purchased my first Beagle the breeder asked if I would be interested in showing and I agreed as I had a history in showing Arabian Horses. She turned out to be a lovely Beagle that other Beagle breeders encouraged me to breed.
  • What makes your program special?

I focus on breeding's that are true to our standard combined with lovely temperaments and good health. I am active in both the show world and the exciting new sport of Scent Work demonstrating that beautiful Beagles can also be smart!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
