I'm Ruth D., the breeder behind Bristol Mine Kennels located in Colonial Beach, VA. Thank you for your interest in Daiger Doodles! The labradoodle breed was introduced to combine the best traits of labradors and poodles to produce the smartest, friendliest, and healthiest four legged companions of our times. We have expanded to include another great cross - Aussiedoodles! The intelligence of the working breed combined with the regal intellect of the poodle is a proven winner.
Daiger Doodles strives to enhance this goal by maintaining a selective breeding program fostered through health testing, genetic research, and experience. The results are obvious. Daiger Doodle puppies are all healthy, maintain wonderful temperaments, and, because of their multigenerational heritage, are hypoallergenic and highly unlikely to shed.
We are blessed to have the ability to share our lifelong passion for labradoodles with new families. Placing our beautiful pups in loving homes is the highest reward we can achieve in our breeding business. We hope to spread the joy!
Q. & A. with Ruth
Why did you start breeding?
Ginger was our first F1 chocolate labradoodle that came home with us around the turn of the century. Brandi is her granddaughter and is retired from breeding. Daisy, Delight, and Abigail are her great-granddaughters and are all in our breeding program!
What makes your program special?
The health and wonderful temperaments of our dogs are the cornerstone of our breeding program. To my knowledge, there are no food allergies or behavioral problems in our vetted line of labradoodles. We really do have the best of the best!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Aussiedoodle puppies are mini size. Labradoodle puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Aussiedoodle puppies include sable, apricot, blue merle, and red merle. Labradoodle puppies include merle, red, apricot, cream, chocolate, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
