I'm Tina H., the breeder behind Broken Arrow Danes located in Brookfield, OH. We are a small hobby breeder of Great Danes focusing on health, temperament, and conformation.
Q. & A. with Tina
Why did you start breeding?
I rescued my first dane years ago as a puppy mill dog. I absolutely loved her beyond words. I vowed at that point, if I ever got into breeding, I would never let that happen. I was given an opportunity to have my first breeding female from a friend who was already an established breeder. I dove in headfirst and began learning everything I could on breeding and Great Danes as a breed.
What makes your program special?
My program is special because I put every ounce of me into it. I am right there with my dogs as they're whelping for comfort and help. I spend the first few weeks of my puppies' lives right next to them around the clock. I try to expose my puppies to different sounds and experiences to give them the very best shot at succeeding in their new homes. I am also there 24/7 365 for my puppy owners.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
