Many of you will be bringing home your new puppies in the next few days—how exciting! As a reminder, these little ones are all teeth right now, so teething is completely normal. I’ll be including photos of some of my favorite teething toys. You can also offer natural options like frozen carrots or cucumbers for safe chewing and relief. Just like children, puppies can act out when they become overstimulated or overtired. If your pup seems “over the top,” a short time-out in their crate or play area (such as a playpen) can help them settle and reset. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions—I’m always happy to help. I strongly encourage early puppy training, as it builds confidence and good habits from the start. Before heading out into the world with your pup, I recommend giving them a couple of weeks at home to adjust. I also suggest waiting until your puppy is at least 12 weeks old and has received their next round of vaccines from your vet before social outings. And of course, please send any and all pictures—I absolutely love the updates! 🐾💛

I am so thankful for each of the families who are bringing home a piece of my heart. Please make sure to complete your contract. I think I have set up or am in process of setting up pick up times for each pup. I keep adding to their bags so if you are flying in know the bag leaving with your pup is at least 6 pounds. Over the next few days if your payment is complete be on the look out for emails from AKC & FI Nano.

I’d been researching Staffordshire Bull Terriers for a while before I found May. The breed is what drew me in, but May is the reason I felt confident getting one as a first-time owner. From the start, she was easy to reach and genuinely engaged. She sent photos regularly, answered every question I had, and when it came time to pick my puppy up at the airport, she walked me through the process step by step. She had everything ready, and nothing felt like an afterthought. What stands out most is how well she listened. Early in our conversations, I mentioned I was planning to kayak with my dog. Without me asking, she started introducing him to related sensations. That kind of proactive thinking only comes from someone who genuinely cares about how the dog ends up, not just that he gets placed. May matched his temperament to my lifestyle in a way that was clearly intentional. He’s confident, affectionate, and bold. His first vet visit went smoothly, potty training was suspiciously easy, and he’s settled into our home like he was always meant to be here. May has continued to check in since pickup, and that follow-through says something about her. If you’re looking at her profile and wondering whether she’s worth it, she is. Thank you, May.

Getting it touch with May was the best! She was so caring, so meticulous throughout the entire process, so communicative the whole time and constantly sharing tips and traits of the pup we chose. She raised him so well, he’s THE BEST! He is so well mannered and so loving. I can tell he came from the best home. We are smitten!!!!!

We brought home our beautiful Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Brindy, from May, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! Brindy is everything we hoped for and more — so sweet, incredibly mild-mannered, and such a loving addition to our family. At just 12 weeks old, she was already potty trained and has been doing amazing on a leash from the very beginning. It’s clear she had a wonderful start. May was fantastic to work with throughout the entire process. She was responsive, kind, and kept us updated with pictures and communication every step of the way, which made the experience even more special. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better puppy, and we highly recommend May to anyone looking for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier!

I would like to take a moment to recognize the exceptional service May provided throughout this entire process. She is truly amazing! Her knowledge of the breed was outstanding, and she offered thoughtful suggestions and recommendations that made everything seamless from start to finish. May was completely transparent from the very beginning, which gave me a strong sense of trust and confidence. As this was my first time making such an important investment in a new companion, I had many questions. She was incredibly patient, ensuring I felt comfortable and fully informed every step of the way. Although I had to travel to Texas to bring our puppy home, it was absolutely worth it. We have finally settled on a name for Jingles (Mr. Yellow) — his name is Ares! Thank you, May, for making this such a positive and memorable experience.

I began my research for a reputable breeder around March this year. I had communications with several in texas and some out of state but with each one they seemed to really be pushy on social media and my instincts told me to keep looking. I happened upon Bruhaus Kennels via the AKC search page and started communications with May Burhans early April. I’m a native Texan and when I saw she was in Georgetown and the timing of seeing her post for future litter, I was getting the feeling ‘it was meant to be’. She was the only person who acknowledged my loss/heartbreak with my furbaby Willow and that triggered me to continue emails/texts/phone call which led to the deposit and contract. I patiently waited, from the ‘idea’ of a litter, to confirmed pregnancy to birth and finally in person meeting, which was such a relief to put all the pieces together. It can be somewhat nerve racking to invest your time and hope via online communications but May promptly answered and texts/emails and kept me up to date during the whole process. (with no pushiness) They love their staffies, and not just in it for the breeding and $$. When you wait for your next soulmate for 6mths and try to trust your instincts that all is ‘real’ and on the ‘up n up’, it was such a relief to get confirmation, May&Trevor are honest and genuine humans! Our first meeting, I was in tears, as I walked in and saw the healthy litter, they were sitting in their playpen, quite as could be, just observing. May was so patient and let me meet ‘Sunna’ and all the little babies. They are all stunning! and anyone would be blessed to have one of their little souls to share their life with- I feel so blessed. I’ve had Luna-Rena for 3weeks now and she is complete joy to me. My heart and soul.
