Yesterday was the first visit to the vet day. All puppies checked well. I have in the photo their current weights. They received DHP-P intial,( no lepto) and Strongid-T dewormer We are spending alot of time outside on the concrete because they hadn't had their shots yet. Everyday is a different adventure . Two more weeks until they go to their furever home. Make sure they get a collar and leash. Neck size is 12- 15 when they go home. If you haven't already, sign them up for a training class. Goldens love to learn and are very responsive at an early age. It will also be a good bonding time for you with them. Because they will be fairly big dogs (55 to 75 pounds) it is important to keep them under control and an early start makes it easier Any questions or concerns, let me know. Have a great weekend

Good morning. The puppies have spent a couple days outside,off the grass, loving life. Since they are not vaccinated yet, we have to keep them off the grass. We have had quite a few owner visits and quite a few friend visits. They love people and love the interaction. They have sharp teeth and sharp nails that I cut every few days. They change everyday. Gestation is 8 weeks so the next 8 weeks of their life, they grow just as fast. Coat colors have lightened on the lighter colored pups as they get their white undercoat. Goldens are waterdogs so the have an undercoat to insulate them in the water, hence, lots of fur. I strongly suggest that you sign up your pup for basic dog training. A trained dog will make your life and their life much easier. A good class to look for is AKC puppy class. In our area, they are offered at Pet Smart. They will learn basis commands to build on their training.It will also start a good bonding relationship between you and your dog. They can start classes as early as 12 weeks and classes usually fill up quickly. Sit back and relax because you will soon be very busy with a pup. Puppies started eating food yesterday. Some have teeth popping in. Nala is still feeding, but with puppies nails and teeth,she nurses for shorter amounts of time. If you would like to see them on video, go to u tube and type in 4djservice. Go to the live feed and will see them. I received AKC paperwork, which I will pass along to you. You will have to register them when you take them home if you want them to be AKC registered. Are any of you planning on breeding your pup when they are adults? Let me know because the process is different with breeder dogs. As always,if you have questions, be sure to ask. It's not too soon to start thinking about puppy shots and choosing a veterinarian. We will take care of the first shots at 6 weeks, but they will need a shot about 8 weeks,about the time you get them home. When the pups were born, I scheduled shots right away, and the vet was booked out 5 weeks for vaccinations Have a great weekend! Sandy

Puppies are growing. Eyes are open and they can hear. They have started barking and have found their litter mates. We start feeding puppy food gruel on Friday
