I'm Victoria C., the breeder behind Buddy’s Golden Horizon located in Carrier Mills, IL. Our goal is to preserve and improve the beloved Golden Retriever through responsible, ethical breeding practices. We are dedicated to producing healthy, well-tempered, structurally sound Golden Retrievers that excel as loving family companions while maintaining the breed's natural beauty, intelligence, and versatility.

Why did you start breeding?
My passion for breeding began with my love for Golden Retrievers. As I learned more about health testing, genetics, and responsible breeding practices, I became dedicated to preserving the breed's wonderful temperament, health, and beauty. What started as a love for the breed grew into Buddy's Golden Horizon, where I strive to raise healthy, well-socialized puppies and contribute positively to the future of Golden Retrievers.
What makes your program special?
Breeding is more than producing puppies. it's about preserving the Golden Retriever I know and love. Every litter is thoughtfully planned with a focus on health, temperament, and lifelong companionship. My dogs are family, and every puppy is raised with dedication, purpose, and heart.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden and golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Victoria

Victoria has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Victoria partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $450 non-refundable deposit and between $1,250 - $2,550 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee

Victoria may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
