Meet the breeder

I'm Trudy B., the breeder behind Bullistik® Knl located in Celeste, TX. Bullistik® is an AKC Breeder of Merit with a focus on health, structure, and gorgeous French Bulldogs in ALL colors (except merle). We provide a written sales contract that outlines our health warranty. All of our parents are health tested using DNA and OFA. We are committed to every puppy that we produce and each of the adoptive owners that brings a Bullistik® puppy into their family. We look forward to connecting with you!

Q. & A. with Trudy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with the breed, and decided that every dog lover, with the right home, needed to experience the joy of being owned by a French Bulldog. I have always helped families find their Frenchie puppies from responsible and ethical sources to help build a better and safer world for our dogs. I first got involved with the incredible French Bulldog breed in 1990. My dogs are excellent representations of the breed, and I am proud to continue their line. I breed to help ensure the future of the Frenchie and to improve upon my dogs' fantastic traits with each generation!
  • What makes your program special?

I am an AKC breeder of high-quality Frenchies. I do not produce a litter unless each of my parent dogs are fully healthy and excellent representations of the standard. My goal is to produce puppies that are the whole package - ones that are healthy, beautiful, and have incredible conformation and temperament. For the health, safety, and integrity of my program, I work with all colors excluding Merle. I truly love my dogs and puppies, and I want nothing more than to see each and every one of them shine!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, fawn, liver, tricolors, blue fawn, white and fawn, blue, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

  • Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Tracheal Hypoplasia, Spine (OFA, FCI), Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • VetGen DNA Testing, Cystinuria Type 3, French Bulldog Type Risk Factor, GenSol Diagnostics DNA Testing, PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific), Full Embark Panel
