I'm Kat H., the breeder behind Cairn Ridge Doodles located in Lexington, OH. We love Bernedoodles and focus on breeding for health, temperament and beauty. We’re a small breeder and choose to put in the extra time and effort to produce well-socialized puppies that love their people! We want to provide the best possible puppies to our community and beyond!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    As a younger child. I struggled to find an extracurricular that I enjoyed. I knew that I enjoyed puppies so I decided to get into breeding. After a lot of trial and error, I realized I needed to switch up my program a bit. After a lot of research, I I bought my first Bernedoodle and fell in love with the breed! I’m excited to produce some amazing Bernedoodle puppies the future!

  • What makes your program special?

    We pursue excellence in breeding. We health and temperament test all of our mommas and raise our puppies on a rigorous puppy socialization curriculum! We are a small breeder and have the opportunity to shape each of our puppies individually. Most importantly, all that we do is for the glory of God!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, tri-color, phantom, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kat

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
