I'm Shellie S., the breeder behind Caliah Brittanys located in Atascadero, CA. Our dogs are bred to preserve the integrity of our breed, standard, and purpose. We keep very few dogs with us so that we can all live a good life. All of our dogs are proved through titles and health checks. Our dogs are raised by and with my family to be resilient and affectionate.
Q. & A. with Shellie
Why did you start breeding?
I never bred my own dogs until I was an adult and my mom had purchased the most beautiful and smart male Britt, River. He got his Dual Championship at 4 years of age and he inspired me to breed. I have breeder/owner handled all of our personal dogs and chosen the best breedings that I could manage. My mother and family are integral into our kennel and I couldn’t do it without them
What makes your program special?
I am invested into the breed and know how important temperament is when breeding dogs. I want to be able to raise and love every puppy in my own home, which just means that my breedings have to be exceptionally considered. I won’t of course keep them all, but I stand by them all.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are orange and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
