Meet the breeder

I'm Tricia W., the breeder behind California Corgi Butts located in Grenada, CA. Trish of California Corgi Butts loves each and every corgi that lives with her. Each puppy is bred, raised, and loved indoors to ensure health, happiness, and harmony at the start of its life. At California Corgi Butts raising healthy, loving, and versatile Corgis is our true goal.

Q. & A. with Tricia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have over 15 years experience as a veterinary technician. I am devoted to breeding and raising healthy happy puppies and finding those babies the best homes possible. As a technician, I witnessed too many animals with debilitating conditions that could have been avoided if the breeder would have been more diligent in genetic and orthopedic testing.
  • What makes your program special?

We genetically test and do orthopedic screening on each of our breeding adults. Our animals not only have wonderful personalities but they are also physically sound.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Tricia was such a pleasure to work with on getting our new baby. She sent videos of our Dobby, gave us updates on her. I highly recommend Tricia if you are looking for a corgi. I will definitely be going back to her when I am ready to get another baby from her.

Trish was so amazing to work with! She really cares for her animals and loves what she does. I felt comfortable to ask her questions and she sent us updates/photos every few days so we got to be a part of our puppy’s journey. I would highly recommend her to anyone! Thank you again for everything Trish!

I couldn't be happier with my puppy and with the experience of working with Tricia. She was responsive and kept me up to date on puppy and is available for questions after pick up. The whole process was seamless with flying from out of state for pick up. Tricia clearly really cares about her puppies and wants to ensure they go to a good home. She does an excellent job with socialization, sensitization and setting them up for success. My puppy quickly settled into her new home and bonded with my 2 adult corgis. I've had my puppy for 2 months now and she is intelligent, playful, loving and full of energy.

Purchasing a Corgi puppy from Tricia was a highly positive experience from beginning to end. She made every effort to ensure the entire process was smooth and that I would be happy with the experience of buying a puppy from her. She always took the time to answer any questions I had, whether it was about feeding, training, microchip, or AKC information. I also loved receiving the weekly updates! It was so exciting to watch our puppy grow from week to week through the pictures and messages she sent. Tricia also made it convenient to pick up our puppy at a nearby Airport. Overall, our family is happy with our new puppy! I highly recommend Tricia to anyone looking for a loving, responsible breeder. Thank you for making this such a joyful experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Trish - she is very knowledgeable and is heavily invested in her puppies, making sure they’re healthy and socialized at an early age. She knows their temperaments well and was able to recommend the right puppy that would fit in with our 3 year old corgi at home. We got a pup from the Tex and Amber litter and loved getting weekly photo updates and seeing our little girl grow! Trish made the process of bringing a puppy from Cali to Boston seamless and we highly recommend California Corgi Butts.
