I'm Patsy S., the breeder behind Callaway's Cavaliers located in Lexington, KY. My dogs are bred and raised to be companions. I tend to keep puppies a little longer so I’m sure they are ready to be received into their new homes. Socializing starts early and by the time they are 8 weeks old puppies are comfortable being held, bathed, and crated at night. From 8-10 weeks they are introduced to other puppies and my adult dogs, where they learn to go outside, come when called and learn their name. My puppies are taught very early commands to leave it or let go, as well as stay while the door opens. Youngsters also go on car rides every week so car sickness and anxiety are experienced less.

Why did you start breeding?
I've always loved purebred dogs and horses and have shown both successfully.What makes your program special?
My house is an open book when I have a new litter of pups I encourage visitations. Video calls are absolutely fine and I have a tendency to send way too many photos 😊What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim, tri-color, black and tan, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Patsy answered right away, and we drove to Lexington and picked up Becca Lou( we named her Amy). Patsy answered all of our questions. Amy is doing great and is very active. She eats well and has put on 2-1:2 pounds. Still working on potty training but it’s hard during the winter. She loves being outside but have to keep her on leash because she will run off. She’s a very smart dog and very affectionate.

Patsy was so easy to work with and genuinely caring about her dogs. I enjoyed getting to meet my dog’s doggy parents and seeing how they lived, as a transparent buyer and making sure he was raised in a good home was important to me. She gave us the puppy and then plenty of goodies to take with us. We had drove for a while to get there and she even offered us some chili to eat haha! Our new puppy, Onyx, is just a goofball and is the most social guy making friends with every person, dog, and even cat he meets. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

It was such a pleasurable and easy experience buying a pup from Patsy. The Good Dog made all the financial arrangements so Patsy's sole job was to introduce me to my new dog, give me all kinds of great tips - from what food to use to how to prevent tear stains to how to clip her nails - and show me her doggie doors. Patsy is so laid back it made everything fun. She was extremely generous, giving me extra food, shampoo, and even a car seat. It was touching to see her love for my new dog...I knew the dog was well loved and cared for before I got to her home.
