I'm Paulette A., the breeder behind Canterland Farm located in Carlton, OR. Canterland Farms is a preservationist breeder. We breed show quality health tested Black or White Standard Poodles. We are breeders who do everything we can to better the breed and ensure our dogs and puppies are able to get the very most out of life become your treasured family member.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My English teacher in high school with a top breeder of standard Poodles and an AKC judge. She introduced me to the breed and I was hooked from then on.
  • What makes your program special?

    We love and care about all of our dogs, and only want the best for them. With this, we provide our puppies with enrichment and socialization on 20 acres of land to help prepare them for future families.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Paulette

Paulette has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,000 refundable deposit and $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes all health testing, dew claw removed, micro-chip with AKC Reunite, registration of puppy with AKC, puppy shots and worming, health guarantee, temperament testing and vet check. We take a deposit at 4 weeks and you will receive an order of pick, and I will help you pick the right pup based on your individual needs.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Wisdom Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Dysplasia 4 (rcd4), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
