I'm Annette D., the breeder behind Cardi the Poodle and Friends located in Monona, IA. I'm a small breeder that keeps all of my breeding dogs as pets. I've been breeding for about 20 years and have loved the journey. I can't imagine living my life without my dogs and without sharing my puppies with others. I strive to produce quality, healthy puppies to help preserve the breed. I provide support to all puppy buyers and love each puppy we produce as much as you do!

Why did you start breeding?
I was raised on a farm surrounded by animals and learned the art of excellent animal husbandry. Dog breeding was a way to involve my children in learning to care for animals which fosters empathy and teaches responsibility. Now that my kids are grown, they are all animal lovers!
What makes your program special?
Surprisingly many people breed their animals without proper testing. Good Dog provides a place for customers to find these health tested dogs and I am happy to be a part of that because it will give the end customer a healthy dog. I would say my breeding program is special because I care about the person that gets one of my puppies.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Annette

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $350 refundable deposit and between $1,150 - $2,150 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Once you pick a puppy, the non-refundable deposit will hold it. The deposit is subtracted from the purchase price.”

Contract & health guarantee

Annette may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Annette offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Annette directly.
