I'm Sarah B., the breeder behind Cariad Doodles located in San Antonio, TX. Our dogs come from health tested parents with great temperaments. Our focus is giving puppies the best start in life so that they can be their happiest and healthiest, and can fill their new homes with love and companionship for many years to come.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    A series of events led to us breeding and things fell into place. We had lost our two elderly dogs, our good friend who is a breeder had talked to us about it. We're in a position where it worked very well with our lifestyle and knew how beneficial it would be for our children, so the research into it began. It has been a lot of hard work but has been so rewarding.

  • What makes your program special?

    We truly love our adult dogs and care about their well-being. This transfers to their puppies. Integrity is at the heart of what we do from making sure prospective parents have all the facts before purchasing a puppy and having excellent communication, to caring for the puppies in the extra ways they need to be, even when no one is looking. We care about health and temperament above all else.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include mini, medium, and standard sizes. Cavapoo puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include sable, black and white, and tri-color. Cavapoo puppies include white, black and tan, tri-color, red, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sarah

Sarah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $3,499 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Should there not be enough puppies in the litter for your spot, or our mama doesn't become pregnant, your deposit is fully refundable.”

  • Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Full Embark Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
