I'm Nancy T., the breeder behind Caris Paws Poodles and Labradoodles located in Plainfield, NJ. We raise our puppies with total care and attention so they can become well-socialized and loving additions to their forever homes. We have spent years raising healthy and happy puppies! We are dedicated to building the breed by ensuring breed standards are passed down with each of our litters.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I began this journey because I wanted to pass on my dogs’ wonderful temperaments to other families. Both my Labradoodle and Standard Poodle are Service Dogs. My children are deeply involved in the process, and I love that it teaches them one of life’s greatest lessons: the joy, love, and responsibility that come from caring for an animal.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are a family-focused breeding program. Our puppies are born and raised right in our living room, where they’re surrounded by children, adults, and other dogs. They grow up with constant interaction, daily handling, and exposure to all the everyday sounds of a busy home. By the time they’re ready to join your family, they’ve already spent days being loved and socialized by our kids!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Labradoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies include apricot, black, cream, red, white, parti, and phantom. Labradoodle puppies include parti, caramel cream, apricot, cream, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Nancy

Nancy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Nancy partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Buyers are paired with their pup after 4 weeks. A lot of our pups go home to Therapy or Service Dog homes. I pick those pups first and then will let the rest of the families pick in order of deposit.”

Puppy prices include a $800 non-refundable deposit and $2,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (SHOR), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    We feel so lucky to have found Nancy in our search for a special puppy to bring into our lives. She called me right back after I had posted an interest I her puppies. She is warm, compassionate and takes as much time as you need to ensure you are comfortable with the whole process As a first time dog owner, my main concern was to bring home a well tempered and healthy dog. She sent me messages and photos of the puppy we chose all along the way until it was pick up day. So now we have so many lovely photos of him from the time he was just 1 pound to when he was 4 pounds and ready to come home to us. My advice to you is to please consider adopting a poodle from Nancy. She cares for her puppies so much and loves them.
