Meet the breeder

I'm Kristy V., the breeder behind Carolina Great Danes & Toy Poodles located in Kannapolis, NC. Carolina Great Danes & Toy Poodles, located in Kannapolis, NC, specializes in raising healthy, well-socialized puppies with outstanding temperaments. Our goal is to produce loving companions that bring years of happiness to their families. We carefully breed for health, structure, and personality — focusing on temperament, size, and overall well-being.

Q. & A. with Kristy

  • Why did you start breeding?

Growing up, my parents raised Toy and Miniature Poodles, and I was always involved in their daily care. From feeding and grooming to playing and helping with whelping, I learned what it takes to raise happy, healthy, well-socialized puppies. Those early experiences taught me responsibility and sparked a lifelong passion for dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program stands out for its experience, care, and dedication. Helping my parents raise puppies as a child inspired my lifelong passion for responsible breeding. I focus on health, temperament, and early socialization to ensure every puppy is well-adjusted and ready for their new home.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Poodle puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Poodle puppies include apricot, black, cream, and red. Great Dane puppies include mantle merle, blue, harlequin, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I was very lucky to find Kristy on Good Dog! She was responsive and transparent throughout the whole process. Pick up process was smooth and she provided everything as stated on her page (previous shot records, other paperwork, sample of my puppy’s current food, and even a blanket). Even after pick up, Kristy answered any other questions I had as I was getting my girl settled in her new home. Forever grateful I found her because now I have my soul dog, thank you!!!
