I'm Jennifer T., the breeder behind Carolina Pride Miniature American Shepherds located in Harmony, NC. We understand the responsibility of purposefully breeding in order to do better for the breed and the families that love them! It’s been such a pleasure to be able to watch every stage of puppy life! We’re so lucky to be able to do this and match wonderful families with our perfect puppies.

Why did you start breeding?
Been breeding livestock all my life on farm. Breed hunter ponies and now mini Aussie.What makes your program special?
We breed for great Temperament first, then excellent conformation and health. Our Dogs are real Aussies in a smaller size with ability to do anything. Small Enough For the House.. Tough Enough for the Farm ..JTWhat are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red tri-color, black tri, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
