Meet the breeder

I'm Carlie L., the breeder behind Carrae's Brittanys located in Everett, WA. My dogs in my program are not just for breeding, they are also my pets. I do AKC shows to give them something to think about! I only breed my dogs once they have a title in the show ring and only if they have passed their health clearance test. Their testing includes three to four types of exams (OFA hips/elbow, yearly eyes until 8 years old, and heart every other year). My dogs are so important to me and I look forward to connecting with others that love them, too!

Q. & A. with Carlie

  • Why did you start breeding?

It was a long, hard decision before I bred my first litter. After I got my first dog Grand Champion and Junior Hunter titles, I then thought about it, talked with my mentors, and decided to breed her. I took advice along the way from my mentors and vet to make sure I was doing everything correctly for the mom and for the litter puppies. I continue to evolve my program and to use best practices. I also continue to learn through resources or asking questions to my mentors and vet.
  • What makes your program special?

Starting at on day 1 early neurological stimulation and starting on day 3 through 16 with early scent introduction. As they get older I will introduce new introduce new items into their environment. They each will go home with their microchip prepaid, first shots, and a welfare vet visit before going home, plus a little going home gift to help them adjust! I can't wait for you to meet your new puppy!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
