I'm Jennifer J., the breeder behind Cascadia Standard Poodles located in Bend, OR. All required genetic testing & more on our dogs. We preserve the natural tail & dew claws. We use Puppy Culturr, Avid Dog, ENS, Scent introduction & Volhard Temperament Testing along with bird scent testing. Each puppy is placed with the best possible outcome using these tools.

Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with the breed after owning my first show dog. I decided then that I wanted to continue showing dogs and bred my first litter in 2001. Since then I have bred only 5 litters. I take my time in making good breeding pairs.What makes your program special?
I am a preservation breeder, leaving natural tails & dew claws. Hoping to breed the all around Poodle that can do anything their owners need of them. I use Puppy Culture, Avid Dog, ENS, Early Scent Intro, Vulhord and Bird drive testing. We do not sell through Good Dog. Senga is an absolute joy to live with. She's an easy keeper and loves to snuggle. She is super sweet and friendly. She has prey drive and chase drive but she's a low/medium energy dog. She's biddable and loves to please. She earned her RATN title in 1 weekend and loves to do tricks. Senga is great with children and other dogs. She is 21.5" tall.

Parent health testing
Excellent level
Cascadia Standard Poodles reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Standard Poodles.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Sebaceous Adenitis (SA), Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
