Why did you start breeding?
With a childhood spent under dog show tables as my mother groomed and showed many breeds, dogs have always been a passion. Catawba Cotons Kennel stands as a testament to a lifetime dedicated to the art of showcasing and nurturing these cottony companions. Our program embodies excellence, where each Coton is not just a breed standard marvel but a boundless source of joy for our prospective family.

What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white, tri-color, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
Getting a puppy from Jamilla
Jamilla has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $4,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“This price includes; Puppy pack, AKC or UKC registration, age appropriate vetting, the price of the puppy, vet records if request records of pup, vet health certificate. Deposits are only taken after the litter is on the ground. I do not take deposits for a place on the waitlist. Deposits are non-refundable unless other arrangements are made, and taken at 6 weeks.”

health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps
protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you
both have a clear understanding of the terms of your
puppy purchase. If Jamilla offers a contract

Momo is a female Coton de Tulear. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Jamilla decided to make her part of their program. Jamilla has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Multifocal Retinopathy 1 (CMR1), Chondrodysplasia/Dwarfism, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
