I'm Megan M., the breeder behind Central Coast Poodle Paws located in Arroyo Grande, CA. I have been a dog trainer for 8 years and last year I became a Certified Service Dog Trainer from Animal Behavioral College. We are now working to produced healthy Moyen Poodles for service dog prospects along with Therapy & Facility Dogs for those with a dog allergies.
Q. & A. with Megan
Why did you start breeding?
When my daughter was a diagnosed with a chronic illness we began to look for a service dog prospect. We had to make sure the dog had "hair" instead of "fur" because of her allergy to dogs. I realized that the options for people with dog allergies & would benefit from a service dog are slim. So that became our mission with breeding Moyen Poodles.
What makes your program special?
I would say we are a special program because I have knowledge in different training aspects & willing to help those who need a service dog raise the right pup. Our program will also offer training help in Basic Obedience, House Manners, & AKC CGC courses. Our dogs are raised in our home where they will receive daily Neonatal Stimulation to help them to be the best pups they can be.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are moyen size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Central Coast Poodle Paws reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Moyen Poodles.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
