I'm Steven R., the breeder behind Central Iowa Schnauzers, LLC located in Altoona, IA. I am a lifelong dog enthusiast, and I am excited to share my passion and purpose with others through my breeding program. When I got my first Miniature Schnauzer many years ago, I was instantly in love. Since then, I’ve made it my mission to bring happy, healthy puppies into the lives of other families to share the memories to others that I have had with this breed.

What makes your program special?
I only choose high quality and pure genetic, 100 percent Miniature Schnauzers to use as my pet/breeding dogs. They must come from well-adjusted homes and be taken care of with love and care. I take great pride in raising quality dogs that I hope will bring you years of joy and happiness.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and silver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Steven

Steven has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,100 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Tails docked, Dew Claws removed, Dewormed, 6 weeks shots, Vet checkup and a puppy starter kit which includes a blanket from Mom, AKC Registration papers, daily weight records, Vet records, and a few toys. . The deposit goes toward the final purchase of the puppy."

Steven may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. 1000000 🌟!!! I’ve wanted a Schnauzer for YEARS, but it had never been the “right time” when I was looking. I found Central Iowa Schnauzers, LLC on a site called “Good Dog” and they were the first that popped up. I immediately was sold without even reaching out. When I did, I was interested in a male but he was on hold. Steven shared a couple other males he had and the first one I saw…”brown collar”…was sitting so good for his picture and his tongue was sticking out. I didn’t even need to see the others…he was mine. I live in Colorado, but I’m from Iowa and I was driving with my mom from Arizona back to Iowa, and we met Steven, his wife, and my puppy just off the interstate as we drove by their location. I know already these pups were going to be great because he would share videos of the puppies playing while he was sitting in their play area being used as a jungle gym while he would toss toys. I truly believe these wonderful people breed because they love their dogs so much, and want to share the great love with others. Originally I was going to name my guy “Fritz.” They would call him his name, but once I met him “Fritz” didn’t seem right. So, my little guy has a big name: Ignatius… he goes by Iggy, Iggy Smalls, Igums, Igs, monster, land shark, love of my life. I was gifted by this wonderful couple with my Iggy. The socialization, the “people-ing,” the play, the LOVE that has all been done with these pups has made this experience that much easier and better!! I love this pup so much and I would send EVERYONE who wants a schnauzer…no matter where they live…to seek out Central Iowa Schnauzers, LLC. Perhaps I’ll get another in the near future so Igs can have a half-sibling! 10/10 dentists agree… they are the BEST. Thank you for my pup! He is perfect and I know our lives together are going to be so wonderful.
