I'm Michelle B., the breeder behind Central Valley Canine Companions located in Modesto, CA. Breeding and raising exceptional dogs isn't simply a business for me—it is a lifelong passion that has been part of my family for generations. As a fourth-generation breeder, I bring decades of hands-on experience, knowledge, and dedication to every litter I raise. My goal is to thoughtfully pair excellent parent dogs and raise puppies with a strong foundation for health, sound temperaments, confidence, and adaptability. Our puppies are raised with tremendous care and attention to their individual development. We believe that what happens during a puppy's earliest weeks can have a profound impact on the dog they become, which is why we are intentional about their socialization, enrichment, environment, and early experiences. Most importantly, we cherish our dogs and puppies as individuals. When one of our puppies joins a family, our relationship doesn't end at pickup day. We consider our puppy families part of our extended family and are here to support them throughout their dog's lifetime.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Breeding has been a part of my family for four generations, so I grew up surrounded by dogs and immersed in the responsibility and joy of raising them. I have always had a deep love for animals and a natural passion for working with them. Over the years, that family tradition evolved into my own breeding program, where I have had the opportunity to work with different breeds and thoughtfully developed doodle crosses. What began as a family tradition became something I genuinely love and have devoted decades to perfecting. For me, breeding is about far more than producing puppies. It is about preserving the qualities I love in dogs while thoughtfully raising puppies that can become extraordinary companions for the families who welcome them.

  • What makes your program special?

    I believe our greatest distinction is the level of care and commitment we provide both before and long after a puppy goes home. We don't simply raise puppies—we invest ourselves in them. Every litter receives extensive hands-on care, socialization, enrichment, and individual attention. We pay close attention to each puppy's developing personality and temperament because our goal is to help each puppy become confident, well-adjusted, and prepared for life with their new family. Our commitment doesn't end when you take your puppy home. We provide lifetime support to our puppy families. We genuinely enjoy staying connected, receiving updates, watching our puppies grow, and seeing the incredible bonds they develop with their families. Whether you have a question about training, behavior, nutrition, development, or simply want to share a photo of your puppy, we are here. When you bring home one of our puppies, you aren't just purchasing a dog—you are gaining a breeder who will be there for you throughout your dog's life.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include mini and medium sizes. Goldendoodle puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include sable, black and white, tri-color, and phantom. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, phantom, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Michelle

Michelle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Michelle partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Our Bernedoodles can be matched as soon as buyers are screened and approved. Due the markings and color variations we understand buyers have specific requests for their bernedoodle puppies beyond temperament. Our GoldenDoodle puppies are matched with approved buyers at our 7 week meet and greet. ”

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pricing includes all go home information, health warranty, vaccinations, toys, medical record, food and lifetime breeder support. Reservation fees are collected to reserve your place on out litter reservation list. Reservation fees are not refundable but may be transferred to a future litter.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific), Animal Genetics Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
