Meet the breeder

I'm Elizabeth H., the breeder behind Chizan Goldens located in Honeyville, UT. I'm dedicated to providing families with healthy, loving companions. My puppy's health is my number one priority. All Sires and Dams are tested for all OFA recommendations as well as genetic health testing.

Q. & A. with Elizabeth

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got my first golden retriever 8 years ago and fell completely in love with this amazing breed. Unfortunately, he had really bad hips and some health issues. After looking more into it, I realized how badly these dogs were being bred in my area. I decided to try and make a difference and only breed from long lines of health tested pedigrees to give my dogs the best chance of a long healthy life.
  • What makes your program special?

I only have 1-2 litters per year so that I have the time to dedicate my full attention to each liter. We live on a 5 acre farm with lots of room for puppies to explore and get accustomed to different things.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
