I'm Kasha H., the breeder behind Chuck City Danes & Yorkies located in Charleston, WV. We are dedicated to raising healthy, happy, adorable Great Dane and yorkie puppies. We connect loving families with their new best friends! Great Danes and yorkies are our passion, and we can't imagine spending our lives without them.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Growing up as a animal lover I was always rescuing. Dogs, cats, squirrels, deer etc. After working as a veterinarian assistant I bought my first great dane and it was love at first sight! I was head over heels. I spent 4 years studying and researching this amazing breed and finally in 2015 started producing wonderful great dane babies! Soon after, I did the same with yorkshire terriers!

  • What makes your program special?

    Our goal is to produce healthy dogs with amazing temperaments while leaving a legacy of greatness in the breed. We are dedicated advocates for proper breeding techniques.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Yorkshire Terrier puppies include blue and gold and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kasha

Kasha has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Kasha partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
