Meet the breeder

I'm City Goldens, the breeder behind City Goldens located in Minneapolis, MN. We are a small family-based breeder and our Golden Retrievers are part of our family; as such, we treat each and every puppy with the same love and care. We’re committed to responsible breeding practices to ensure every pup is healthy, well-socialized, and deeply loved from the very beginning.

Q. & A. with City Goldens

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our Chewie started it all. He came on a time our family really needed him. He’s a smart, kind, and magnificent Golden Retriever with an amazing temperament, truly one of the best things that’s ever happened to our family. Everyone who met him asked if we’d ever breed him. That’s why we got our beautiful Chloe: to be his companion and help us share the love and joy we’ve experienced with them both.
  • What makes your program special?

We’re a small, family-based breeder who chooses to raise a litter only once every 2 years to give our beloved Chloe enough time to fully recover and stay in optimal health. This isn’t a business for us, we cherish our Goldens and consider it a true blessing to raise a litter in our home. We hope families who adopt our puppies experience the same joy and love we've found with our Chewie and Chloe.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
