Meet the breeder

I'm Braden S., the breeder behind Classic Jayx located in Osceola, AR. Our Corsos haven’t been raised in a kennel. They’ve been raised in a home. The kind with kids underfoot, cats who think they’re in charge, chickens who have exactly zero respect for personal space, and a mini dachshund with a big opinion about everything.

Q. & A. with Braden

  • Why did you start breeding?

Let’s be honest: we didn’t set out to become dog breeders. We set out to raise our kids and tend our homestead in Arkansas. Somewhere in the middle of all that beautiful chaos, two Cane Corsos named Penne and Kreacher decided they belonged here. Turns out, they were right. Classic Jayx is what happens when a working breed meets a working family.
  • What makes your program special?

American Kennel Club Registered. International Cane Corso Registered. Embark DNA & Health Tested. Dam is OFA Elbow & Hip evaluated, waiting on Sire to be of age. Breeding by choice not forced. Homestead raised and socialized, never bound to kennels.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, black brindle, and gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
