I'm Jason D., the breeder behind Clay Acres Frenchies located in Claycomo, MO. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. We give our dogs the best lives possible. We are looking for families and individuals that will provide our puppies with the same level of love and care.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey began with a love for Labradors in 2000—drawn to their loyalty and intelligence. As our family grew, so did our passion for raising dogs that were not only healthy but a blessing to their future homes. Over time, I transitioned to French Bulldogs and have found joy in sharing that companionship with others, one puppy at a time.

  • What makes your program special?

    I raise each puppy with family care, not kennel isolation. My breeding program emphasizes health (including OFA and genetic testing), temperament, and lifetime breeder support. I focus on quality, not quantity—and I truly love seeing my puppies grow in the homes they bless. I’m just a text away for every family, long after the adoption day.

Getting a puppy from Jason

Jason has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jason partners with them to find the best puppy match.

"All potential homes complete an application and are screened before being approved. Once approved, families are placed on the reservation list in the order deposits are received. As puppies grow and their temperaments develop, we help guide families toward the puppy that best fits their home, lifestyle, and preferences. Our goal is to place each puppy in the environment where it will thrive. Final selections are typically made around 6–7 weeks of age once personalities are clearer."

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Our Frenchie pricing reflects the high cost of ethical breeding. French Bulldogs require specialized health testing, artificial insemination, and C-sections—far beyond what most breeds require. A $500 non-refundable deposit reserves your puppy. Applies toward total. Puppies vary in price based on structure, color, and pedigree. AKC paperwork and microchip included."

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
