I'm Derek V., the breeder behind Coconut Cream Goldens located in Waco, TX. We are strong advocates of proper breeding practices and run our program accordingly. We breed top-quality Golden Retrievers. Our program is focused on breeding Retrievers that are healthy, well-structured, and have outstanding temperaments. We have high expectations for our puppies and strive to place each one in an enriching and loving home!

Why did you start breeding?
Coconut Cream Goldens began with a sweet dog named Coconut, whose calm and loving nature made her the perfect family companion. She adored children, water, and running through the yard with chickens, ducks, sheep, and cows on our Texas family farm. Her wonderful temperament inspired us to start breeding English Cream Golden Retrievers so others could experience the joy she brought to our lives. Now, as experienced breeders, we raise our Cream Golden Retrievers in a peaceful yet adventurous environment, ensuring they are well-socialized and ready to join loving families. We’re proud to share these exceptional dogs, hoping they bring as much happiness to your home as they do to ours!What makes your program special?
All of our breeding dogs are part of our family. We are with them pretty much all day every day. They have plenty of room to run and interact with each other as well as our other farm animals. They enjoy a climate controlled environment throughout the day with constant access to outdoor play and fresh water. All of our moms get the royal spa treatment in our master bathroom when their puppies are born. Puppies are born with one of us right there to help through the whole process and are surrounded by constant care in the same environment for the first four weeks.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Derek
Derek has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Derek partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
Price
"The price includes our health guarantee, AKC registration, first round of vaccinations, deworming, first puppy check-up, and puppy socialization. Deposits are fully refundable minus $100 administrative fee up to two weeks before puppy pickup. Deposits are non-refundable within two weeks of puppy pickup."

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Program update on 28 Dec 2025 •This is Cooper. He’s sporting a pajama top that a friend of mine who adopted him designed and took to market. They’re made of bamboo fabric!wow! Now, granted, this isn’t a dog pajama top. He’s wearing it to get acclimated their family’s scent. But, hey, he does look pretty ready for night, night! Rogue is the friendliest most handsome dog we've had in our eleven years of breeding. He is extremely personable, very attentive, and not flighty. He'll hang with us pretty much anywhere we go. He's never met a stranger. And, his coat, wow! We have more recent photos that we'll post soon but he borders on a white lion with his mane!

About Zemphira
Zemfira is quite the majestic gal! Zemfira hails from Odessa, Ukraine. She came to be with us when she was two years old having won multiple awards for her confirmation. She has had all of her health testing done and beyond. She is on the bigger side. She's had a classic European Golden blockhead and a very stout, shorter body. She is very tactile. If she sees you and you're not petting or hugging her, your fingers and hands will be in her mouth (in a very gentle, and coaxing way mind you!). She is an incredible mama and produces beautiful and extremely fluffy, white puppies!

Tide is actually Rogue's best friend. Where you find one, you'll find the other. Tide is a little more medium sized. She doesn't stand as tall as our other dogs. She is stout and very beautiful. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

It has been almost a month with our beautiful Lucy! She has become a beloved member of the family. It was a pleasure working with Derek and Sally. Smooth transitioning from start to finish. This puppy is by far the best Golden Retriever out of my other 6 Golden’s over the years. I cannot say enough about how happy we are about this puppy. From his coat, intelligence, to his temperaments, he is perfect. We love him so much. He is a talker, which I love. He is silly! My husband and I have enjoyed watching this puppy’s goofiness. From sleeping upside down, barking at himself in the mirror, and digging in the toy box for the one on the bottom. +4After a couple weeks of looking for a golden retriever puppy, we finally found one here through Sally! She was very helpful and informative; guided us all the way through the process!
