I'm Katie R., the breeder behind Colby Trail Doodles located in Glendora, CA. Our goal is raising family friendly Goldendoodle and Bernedoodle puppies with wonderful temperaments, that are human focused, great with kids, loving, mellow, and gentle to all. We extensively health test, genetic test, and temperament test our puppies, and follow an advanced service dog curriculum.
Q. & A. with Katie
Why did you start breeding?
Our beloved Golden Retriever passed away early on at 6 years old. We were devastated, and our last hike together was Colby Trail, which is why we named our program after our last memory together. She was our family. We want families to share the same love and comfort that Charlie, our golden, once gave us. So Colby Trail Doodles was born.
What makes your program special?
We raise pups in our home, extensively health test our dogs, puppies start on puppy curriculum starting day 3 that makes them a confident and healthier pup. Our goal is to make puppy raising easier for you and the transition from our home to yours seamless. We offer a lifetime of support and send home many training resources. We potty train and go home crate trained, sleeping through the night.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Bernedoodle puppies are medium size. Goldendoodle puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Bernedoodle puppies include tri-color and merle. Goldendoodle puppies include red, chocolate, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
