I'm Maila E., the breeder behind Colorado Mountain Labradoodles located in Pueblo West, CO. We breed medium, and standard-sized Australian Labradoodles. We only breed for the enjoyment of the puppies and to further promote Labradoodles that are of excellent health, conformation, and temperament.
Q. & A. with Maila
Why did you start breeding?
My love of Labradoodles began over 15 years ago when we found out both our children were allergic to shedding dogs. It was also the time I started going to vet tech school and met a couple of breeder mentors; one of Labradoodles, and the other Standard Poodles.
What makes your program special?
We follow the Puppy Culture Protocol from the time the puppies are born, and up to the time they go home. We are also experienced Labradoodle trainers and spend plenty of time starting the puppies on the basics before they go home. By 8 weeks they have been started with the commands sit, down, and watch me. They have been introduced to the leash, and crate. They are also familiar with the concept of eliminating outdoors.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include caramel, red, and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
