Meet the breeder

I'm Rachel N., the breeder behind Colorful Colorado Aussiedoodles located in Peyton, CO. We raise F2, F2b, & Multigen Aussiedoodles. All of our breeding dogs have only been raised by us & their guardians because we like to personally get to know their temperaments before breeding them. Our puppies are raised in our home & have their own bedroom!

Q. & A. with Rachel

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mom is the one who started breeding Aussiedoodles in 2018, she has since given me the full responsibility of raising them I thought after the first couple litters we had I would’ve wanted to stop, but I enjoyed it so much that we continued! I love sharing joy with our puppy families and educating others about the breed. I also love making improvements in breeding and breeding towards a consistent mix.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are not priced differently based on their coat color or eye color. We believe all of our puppies are equally wonderful and beautiful. We take the care of our breeding dogs very seriously. If our dams show signs of retirement we will retire. Our breeding dogs are our family. The reason I breed Aussiedoodles to Aussiedoodles creating multigens instead of breeding Aussies to poodles is because I am working hard to create consistency in my program and dogs with stable temperaments. The sires & dams of my program are health tested based on ASCA & PCA’s required tests and OFA’s recommended tests per breed. ASCA is the parent club of Australian Shepherds & PCA is the parent club of Poodles.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include mini and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, brown and white, blue merle, red merle, black phantom, black and white, black tri-color, red phantom, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Rachel made the entire process so easy! We had to travel from another state to pick up our puppy and she worked with us to find a time and place that worked for both of us. We absolutely loved the experience of using Good dog to facilitate our adoption. Daisy came to us with some training already and she listens so well! We just adore her so much. Thank you Rachel for everything. You rock. 😊
