I'm Connie B., the breeder behind Con-Lea Pekingese located in Newhall, IA. I am careful about breeding for health, temperament, structure and quality. I currently have 2 adult females and a litter of puppies. My puppies have been vet checked, dewormed and have first two vaccinations. I am a breeder of merit.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I was introduced to showing and caring for Pekingese through my grandparents. Pekingese is the only breed I have had or bred.
  • What makes your program special?

    I care about the quality of the my Pekes. Structure and temperament are very important to me. My litters are raised in my home where I can keep a constant eye on them. I handle them everyday and enjoy watching them mature.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include gray sable and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Connie

Connie has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Connie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

"I take great care in matching my puppies with the right family. I want my puppies to be loved and be happy and that happen when they are matched with the right person and/or family."

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"The price for a loving companion is $3000. The deposit is applied towards the price of the puppy."

Connie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
