I'm Shayla & Debi W., the breeder behind Cookies and Cream Doodles LLC located in Mesa, AZ. We are a small, family run, in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each of our puppies their best start in life, beginning with Genetic & OFA tested parents. We utilize several methods to help us produce well rounded puppies, with excellent health & temperaments, to join your family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Breeding dogs has been on our minds for years, and after lots of research on responsible and healthy breeding practices, and learning how to whelp and raise puppies, we took the plunge. We believe that healthy puppies begin with the parents, which is why we perform OFA and genetic testing, through Embark and/or Paw Prints, to ensure our parent dogs are clear of any health concerns for their breed.

  • What makes your program special?

    We perform ENS and ESI exercises on the pups in our litters from day 3 to day 16. We also believe that early socialization and desensitization helps to produce well rounded pups. We use everyday household noises, objects, visitors and our adult dogs to help train our puppies. We begin potty training with the puppies at 3 weeks old, and by 8 weeks they are well on their way to being house broken.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include medium and standard sizes. Goldendoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include brown, brown and white, sable, black, black and white, tri-color, and phantom. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Shayla & Debi

Shayla & Debi has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Shayla & Debi partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

"We evaluate the temperament of each puppy, which is usually between 5 and 6 weeks of age. After this we invite families on our waitlist, in the order that they joined, to meet the puppies in person or through a video call, to make their selection based on puppy compatability. This process goes in order of when families joined our waitlist and we do not take deposits to hold a puppy until they have been selected through this process."

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,400 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"The price includes a Vet check, current vaccinations & deworming, 1 gallon bag of their puppy food, blanket with litter mate/mom's scent, beginning crate and house training, beginning basic commands. Puppy selection takes place at 4 to 5 weeks. Once you have selected the puppy that will join your family, it will be reserved for you. We require a deposit within 3 days of selection to hold that puppy until they are ready to go home."

Shayla & Debi may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
