Cooper Oaks Goldens

Laurie C.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Laurie C., the breeder behind Cooper Oaks Goldens located in Melbourne, FL. Cooper Oaks Golden Retrievers strives to breed healthy, happy, and well-tempered puppies to the AKC Golden Retriever standard. It is extremely important to us that our dogs have CLEAR GENETICS and all parents have had OFA health screenings for hips and elbows before being considered for breeding.

Q. & A. with Laurie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I've always wanted to breed goldens but it wasn't until my husband retired that we felt like we could devote the time to that adventure. We're willing to drive across the country for the right match. Perfect genetics and healthy dogs are very important to us.
  • What makes your program special?

We go the extra mile for clear genetics. We do not breed dogs that are even carriers of genetic markers. We work with our dogs from the time they are born using Puppy Culture training.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
