Meet the breeder

I'm Kat B., the breeder behind Coopers Korner located in Crystal River, FL. Our dogs are family members first, pup parents second. We test all our family members through Gensol, Wisdom panel, and Embark we breed for conformation, good temperaments, and excellent health.

Q. & A. with Kat

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding after my kids were grown. I decided after I had a fur child get sick from bad genetics and passed that I would make a difference in the canine world. I wanted to make sure no family would go through what I did when I lost my Corgi, Lacy.
  • What makes your program special?

All of my pets are health tested, socialized, and are treated like kings and queens. At 3 weeks of age, puppies are started on potty training with a litter pan. They are socialized with my grandkids, all of my family members, my cats, my other dogs, and when they are old enough they meet my horses. I took a course in k9 cytology and bought my microscope. I’m now certified in that field so I can watch my girls and I know where they are in their cycles. I have my own ultrasound machine so I can watch as puppies grow and if there seems to be a problem I can get them to their vet right away. I do all I can to take the very best care of my sweet dogs and their pups.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies include liver and white, brindle merle and white, blue merle and white, red merle and white, red and white, brindle and white, and black and white. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include fawn, red, sable, white and black, and white and red. American Corgi puppies include red merle and white, black and tan, brindle merle and white, brindle and white, blue merle and white, and liver and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Thanks to Kat, we found a beautiful and sweet boy for our Arya who was lonely after our older beagle’s passing last year. He has brought so much joy to Arya and our lives! Kat was quick and responsive, always allowing me to ask as many questions! We are very lucky to have found her through this app.
