Meet the breeder

I'm Pamela M R., the breeder behind Coraz’on Havanese located in Wappapello, MO. Coraz’on “Our Heart” and that is truly the case - the havanese breed captured my heart 12+ years ago and still every bit as entertained and enchanted by them all these years later. I have always been an “animal girl” living in the country was a decision I have never regretted and it afforded us the opportunity to raise our children with horses and gain recognition threw 4H activities, back country horsemen, and the army corp of engineers - teaching them responsibility, volunteer work: to give of them selves without expecting anything in return, and the importance of community. The Great Pyrenees were always a big part of our lives guarding our horses and our home - even now they guard our havanese :) and our home. When it was time for me to transition to a smaller animal companion - the choice was easy: Havanese all the way. Taking a great deal of time and effort learning about pedigrees and the breed standard, health testing what is required by the Havanese Club of America and more, proper diet & nutrition, along with proper grooming & coat care. This is an ongoing journey…… and the rewards are countless!! Threw the grace of God a puppy was born - a friend for life.

Q. & A. with Pamela M

  • Why did you start breeding?

Showing & Breeding is a skill passed down to me by my mother - her care and diligence in her breed “Yorkshire Terriers “ and a very early start for me - created a well rounded young adult and now a passionate breeder.
  • What makes your program special?

There are many things to consider when looking at my breeding program over the years - determination to improve and willingness to learn is forefront. No one knows it all - that I can guarantee. The breed evolves as breeders make decisions on which dogs to breed… this includes health and longevity of “your puppy” . I believe in order to succeed as a breeder one must move beyond the obvious health testing and early stimulation - and have a deep enduring passion for the breed and function with humility and understanding - looking toward the future bennifits to the breed.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

The puppy that we got was perfectly mannered and trained. He used the pad all on his own and slept thru the night perfectly fine. We could not be happier. It’s obvious that this breeder pays a lot of attention to her little friends. All our family loves Alonzo!
