I'm Rachel A., the breeder behind Cosmere Corgis located in Fond Du Lac, WI. All of our dogs live in our house with us. We know how important it is to socialize and train our dogs. So, we love to challenge ourselves and our dogs by participating in a variety of activities including Conformation, Rally, Trick Dog, Therapy Dog, Obedience, and Scent Work.
Q. & A. with Rachel
Why did you start breeding?
I love everything that’s involved with showing and raising corgis. I love working and training with them, I love studying pedigrees, learning about structure, attending club events with other dog crazy people, traveling to shows, competing, and loving and raising our puppies. We pour our heart and soul into our dogs and we try to give them the most enriching and fun filled life we can.
What makes your program special?
We show our dogs and breed to the AKC standard. Our focus is on temperament and structure.
Out of all the activities we do with our dogs, one of our favorites is doing Therapy work at the assisted living center. Our dogs absolutely love doing visits and making the residents smile and laugh.
We also know how important it is to give puppies the best start in life, so we do puppy culture with them.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
