I'm Julie, the breeder behind CosmicGold Retrievers located in Phoenix, AZ. Our mission is to raise healthy, happy, adorable Golden Retriever puppies and connect loving families with their new best friend! Our goldens go through extensive OFA health tests and DNA tests so that we’re sure we can produce the healthiest and best example of the breed possible.
Q. & A. with Julie
Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved Golden Retrievers. I owned a golden when I was a child and fell in love with the breed. As an adult, I knew I wanted goldens in my life. I bought my first golden in Upstate New York and now I own 4.
I came to Arizona, met a wonderful group of people who helped me grow as a golden retriever owner and eventually breeder.
I am part of GRCA, am VP of VDSGRC and am active in AKC activities.
What makes your program special?
I am committed to improving the Golden Retriever breed! All of my puppies come from health tested parents and 6 weeks of training!
Each puppy interacts with young children, my dogs, our cat, and have a myriad of new experiences so they become confident, balanced dogs. I perform ENS in their first few weeks of life, scent work, and socialize them with sounds, objects, people, and new experiences.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
