I'm AJ S., the breeder behind Cottonwood Creek Doodles located in Farr West, UT. We are dedicated to raising Australian MT Doodles, Aussiedoodles & Bernedoodles with phenomenal temperaments & dispositions. We strive to produce healthy, long-living companions that shed less than the parent breeds we know & love. Our dogs are our life & we treat each as a member of our family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Ever since we were little we had a dream to raise and work with puppies. Growing up we bred Shetland Sheepdogs under the guidance of a good friend and mentor. As we got older, we brought home our first Standard Poodle females and set out to make the perfect family dog with traits from our all time favorite breeds; the Australian Shepherd and Bernese Mountain Dog.

  • What makes your program special?

    Each litter we produce is thoughtfully planned with health, temperament, structure, coat type, and more in mind. The added bonus of stunning colors and coat patterns make our Doodles exceptionally captivating! Our puppies go all over the world and make terrific companions with many excelling in service and therapy work.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include tiny, mini, medium, and standard sizes. Aussiedoodle puppies include toy, mini, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include red, sable, tri-color, phantom, and blue merle. Aussiedoodle puppies include sable, red, cream, brown merle, apricot, blue merle, red merle, black phantom, black tri-color, red phantom, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from AJ

After buyers complete the application and screening process, AJ partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $4,000 - $7,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI), Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
