After 5 years of helping raise two golden doodles with my girlfriend we split up and when I was told I could no longer spend any time with them I was heart broken. Many of my friends kept telling me I should get a new dog but I was hesitant due to the fact that I spent so much time working at my restaurant. One day when I was really missing my two doodles I was chatting with a dear friend about this. The following day she sent me a link to Country Hills, in particular, about a pup that was going to be available in a week. I reached out via email and received a call from Jenn asking if I wanted to meet Valentino via a Zoom call. Then, before we could schedule that she said she was coming to San Juan Capistrano to visit and asked if I would like to meet Valentino in person. Of course, I jumped at the chance. A couple days later she walked into my restaurant carrying dear Valentino. She walked over and handed him to me. I held him close to my neck and he immediately began to nuzzle me and I just melted. I know right at that moment I had to be with him for the rest of his life. A few months, an 26 pounds later, he and I are inseparable. We go on daily walks, he sleeps with me every night and loves spending time with me and guests on the patio at my restaurant. I share photos and stories about us together on social media and many of my guests come in to the restaurant just in the hopes that they can meet 'Tino'. He has changed my life in a way I never dreamed possible and I think my dear friend Nancy and Jenn for making this all come true.
