Meet the breeder

I'm Sara K., the breeder behind Country Lane Doodles located in Erda, UT. We are dedicated to raising top-quality family puppies in a loving, home-based environment. Our puppies are raised as part of our family, receiving daily handling, early socialization, and plenty of affection to help them grow into confident, well-adjusted companions. Health and temperament are our highest priorities. Our breeding dogs are carefully selected for stable temperaments, sound structure, and overall wellness, and they undergo genetic health testing to help ensure we are producing the healthiest puppies possible. We follow responsible, ethical breeding practices and make informed decisions with the long-term well-being of the puppies in mind. Our puppies receive age-appropriate veterinary care, are raised on a proper health schedule, and are provided with quality nutrition in a clean, safe environment. From birth, they are introduced to normal household sights, sounds, and routines to support healthy development and an easy transition into their new homes. We believe early experiences matter and take great care in preparing our puppies for life as cherished family members. Our goal is to place each puppy with a loving, responsible family where they can thrive as a lifelong companion. We are committed to transparency, education, and ongoing support for our puppy families and welcome open communication throughout the adoption process.

Q. & A. with Sara

  • Why did you start breeding?

My journey into breeding grew naturally out of my lifelong love for dogs and my desire to raise them the right way. After years of hands-on experience working in a veterinary hospital and raising dogs as part of my own family, I became increasingly passionate about health, temperament, and responsible care. As my children grew and our family entered a new season of life, I found myself with the time, space, and dedication to focus on raising puppies intentionally and ethically. Living in the country gave us the ideal environment to provide our dogs with room to play, proper care, and a calm, structured setting. Breeding allowed me to combine my experience, love for dogs, and commitment to family values. I chose to pursue responsible breeding practices, including genetic health testing and careful pairing, to help ensure each puppy has the best possible start in life. My goal has always been to raise healthy, well-adjusted puppies and place them into loving homes where they can thrive as lifelong companions.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes my breeding program special is the combination of experience, intention, and a truly family-centered approach. My background working in a veterinary hospital gives me a strong foundation in canine health and proper care, which I apply daily in raising and evaluating my dogs and puppies. Health and temperament are at the core of every decision. All breeding dogs undergo comprehensive genetic health testing, and pairings are carefully planned to promote sound structure, stable temperaments, and long-term well-being. Puppies are raised in a clean, safe home environment with age-appropriate veterinary care, premium nutrition, and gentle handling from birth. To create even more well-rounded, adaptable dogs, I incorporate proven early enrichment protocols: Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) during days 3–16, alongside intentional sound desensitization to help puppies build resilience to everyday noises and stressors. These techniques enhance neurological development, stress tolerance, confidence, and sensory awareness, setting the foundation for calmer, more adaptable companions. My puppies enjoy constant human interaction and exposure to normal household sights, sounds, and routines in our country setting, with plenty of space to play and explore while staying closely integrated with the family—not in kennels.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include tiny and mini sizes. Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Goldendoodle puppies include petite and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include chocolate merle, tri-color, and blue merle. Cavapoo puppies include apricot and red. Goldendoodle puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Sara

Sara has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Sara partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Choosing the right puppy for you and your family is a big decision. We focus on thoughtful placement by approving suitable buyers and letting the final puppy choice rest with you. Prospective buyers submit an application with details about their lifestyle, home, and experience, which we carefully review and approve if it aligns with responsible ownership and the breed’s needs. Once approved, the buyer connects directly with the seller to discuss the litter. The seller shares information about each puppy’s temperament, health, and characteristics. When the puppies reach 8 weeks, the approved buyer selects the puppy they feel is the best match. We encourage open, honest communication throughout—if either party senses it’s not the right fit, we support stepping away. Our priority is happy, healthy puppies in loving, permanent homes through a careful and collaborative process.”

Our experience with Sara and Country Lane Doodles was simply the best! We got Boone, a Cavapoo, at 10 weeks and he already had such a great head start with training and socialization. He’s so well tempered, amazing with our kids and incredibly smart. We used a flight nanny since we live in a different state and the experience was seamless. Sara communicated every step of the way and was quick to respond to any questions we had. She provided a wonderful puppy starter kit that was an absolute life saver, as well as a great recommendation list of items to purchase. Since this was our first dog, it was incredibly helpful. We feel so blessed to have Boone in our lives and would highly recommend Country Lane Doodles!

Sara did a marvelous job preparing our Sadie to come home. She’s a real sweetheart, and I could tell that she got a lot of love and care in Sara’s home. We had our vet check Sadie out and the vet said she was in perfect health. Our whole experience with Sara was very positive and I would highly recommend her

I can't thank the breeder enough for teaching our puppy - Finn ( who is Muffin now) so much at such a young age. It truly shows her incredible dedication and determination to give her puppies the best start possible. It's clear he was well cared for from the beginning. He was a little shy at first, but he adjusted beautifully once he received all the attention, care, and love. He's already potty trained and sleeps on a consistent schedule. We now understand each other’s body language perfectly. We feel so lucky to have him.
