I'm Dan S., the breeder behind Country Ridge Puppies located in Holtwood, PA. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament, with a focus on conformation, athleticism, and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing our families with wonderful healthy family pets. My wife and I have been raising puppies for over 8 years and have made a lot of families happy and their dreams came true. This is our goal for you.

Why did you start breeding?
We thought it would be a fit in our lives since my husband and I both grew up with dogs and we both love animals.What makes your program special?
We actively include our children in the daily process of raising a baby puppy. We know from personal experience what we want from a breeder and we strive to be that ideal. To stay in communication. To befriend. To become something more for life. Because of our quality dogs and the healthy environment they are raised in, We’ve worked for years to produce quality, and unique colors!What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Dan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $150 non-refundable deposit and between $2,350 - $4,350 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the health guarantee, AKC registration, and the first round of puppy vaccinations. In order to reserve a certain puppy we require a deposit of 150$ which gets deducted from final amount on puppy pickup day .”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), DNA Profile, von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Dan, It was a pleasure to work with him, he answered my many questions, and sent me photos/videos of Monica (now Delilah). Dan was awesome from start to finish! He communicated frequently and clearly and was flexible working with us for pickup. He socializes the puppies as much as possible allowing them ample time with his small daughters. It was also very clear that Dan truly cares about his pups! He checked in several times throughout the first week after adoption to see how Jack (our pup from Dan!) was settling in, how his first vet appointment went, and even how potty training is going. We can already tell Jack is going to be a great dog! He is super smart, and Dan spent some time with him before adoption working on “sit” and “come”, so Jack already does both of those like a champ! Jack came to us with a clean bill of health, and even a negative fecal test at his first vet appointment! We are so excited to have Jack in our family, and I cannot recommend Dan enough!
