I'm Mikayla D., the breeder behind Cozy Hearth Cogis located in Cortland, NY. Our dogs are health checked (parents are triple clear), AKC Registered and temperment qualified in order to become a part of our dog breeding program. We put a lot of effort, thought and care into each and every puppy.

Why did you start breeding?
I used to show holland lops (bunnies) and Shetland sheepdog. I bred bunnies for a few years, then realized that dogs were more my speed. I found the corgi breed and fell head over heels, they really took over my life in the best way.What makes your program special?
This is my first litter, and right now my only litter. The puppies are getting soo much individual attention and personal training as they are worked with every day.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Mikayla
Mikayla has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,250 - $1,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

I have the Chip (Crinkle) puppy. Mikayla was a pleasure to communicate with. Any questions I had she promptly answered. Mikayla sent Chip (Crinkle) home with toys and all his vet records. She sent video’s and pictures to keep me updated. The description of Chip (Crinkle) was accurate. His disposition is excellent. It is obvious initial potty training was done. I can say Mikayla made my fiancé and my first time with a breeder adoption pleasant and worry free. After reading her profile she sounded like the kind of breeder I would love to adopt a puppy from. With so many breeders being in the business for the money causing a lack of love towards their pups, I was glad that Mikayla's profile matched her excellent care of our new family member Gizmo. Just from talking with Mikayla I could tell she really does care for her pups, and makes sure they are up to par before going home with you. After applying for our pup she immediately messaged us and ensured we were the perfect match for Gizmo, and he us. She then would provide consistent updates and photos of Gizmo while he was in her care, providing ease of mind that he was growing healthy in a nurturing environment. She provided us with a folder with his health information, along with an adorable starter set of toys and treats for him. Even a small blanket with his litters sent, which has provided Gizmo so much comfort during his transition. In a few short days my fiancé and I were so pleased to see Gizmo was just as playful and full of life as Mikayla described, showing she really got to know her puppies and gave them a loving and nurturing environment! He even had crate training prior to coming home with us making the development of a routine easy. Mikayla truly makes sure her pups are healthy, happy, and and prepped for their future families. Gizmo is the most cuddliest playful pups that always has a smile. And immediately fell in love with those brown eyes and heart shaped nose, perfectly matching his cuddle bug personality. Hi my name is Renee . Myself and my wife Lisa found Mikayla on line. After having a horrid experience with another corgi breeder we found her. I will say we are so thankful to God we did! Mikayla was an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to DEAL WITH!!!!!!!!!!!! She contacted us frequently about our new puppy Scooby -Doo! Mikayla would send us pics and videos weekly!
