Meet the breeder

I'm Amanda Y., the breeder behind Crimson Trail located in Colorado Springs, CO. Our focus is on sharing the joy we recieve from our heart breed with more families! We do all OFA health testing for this breed and participate in conformation to assure maintaining the breed standard. We are mentored by breeders with decades of experience in this breed and are learning every day.

Q. & A. with Amanda

  • Why did you start breeding?

We got our first Welshie, Echo, because our family was simply ready for a dog. Little did I know how much our family would fall in love with her and the whole breed! Our daughter who had severe stranger anxiety and sensory struggles, came out of her shell and fell in love with showing Echo. It was then that we knew we wanted a Welshie in our home forever. So here we are. 😉
  • What makes your program special?

We raise the puppies in our home where there is something new to experience every day. They get gentle, frequent, positive touch and play from a variety of appearences of people ages 3 to 93! Exposer to lots of sounds, experiences and people is an important part of raising Welshies who will adapt well into their new homes.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
